Space Intelligence partners with Cecil to make audit-grade data accessible
We’re delighted to announce that our audit-grade datasets are now available in Cecil’s platform!
Cecil consolidates nature datasets into a single API and analytical database that allows engineering and data teams to access and analyse Space Intelligence’s data at scale.
Accessing Space Intelligence data in Cecil
Cecil’s Python SDK includes an API and analytical database. The database is optimised for time-series and spatial analysis which empowers you to perform large scale analyses without the need for building infrastructure or upfront pricing quotas.
Our off-the-shelf data catalogue (over 20 countries!) is available on the platform now.
The national datasets are provided as follows:
- Up to 10m spatial resolution
- Multiple timepoints
- 9 land cover classes, such as dense forest, tree crops, agriculture, and plantation.
- 90% overall accuracy achieved through independent point sampling

Supporting the full project lifecycle
Using Cecil’s platform, you’ll be able to leverage our audit-grade data for the full project lifecycle, from initial screening to impact assessment and ongoing monitoring.
Due diligence and project screening
By analysing our high-quality land cover and change data at scale, you’ll be able to assess project sites to determine eligibility or conduct due diligence on existing projects before investing. Our data helps you answer key questions like:
- Is the area eligible for REDD+ or ARR activities?
- What is the potential additionality?
- How is the project performing against the baseline?
Monitoring and verification
The annual land cover maps will support you in creating monitoring reports and impact assessments, including a reliable assessment of additionality, leakage, and credit integrity. Using Cecil’s Snowflake queries to analyse the data, you’ll be able to assess how the project is performing against the baseline and confidently demonstrate their project’s real-world impact to stakeholders and the public.
Getting started
There is no minimum spend or subscription to get started with Cecil, making our audit-grade nature mapping data accessible to organisations of all sizes.
